  5. I don’t even play chess but okay , thanks

  6. "An A or H pawn is a draw!"
Pov: Finds a way to efficiently push the pawn anyway and checkmates the other player anyway

  7. That doesn't make sense in the last 3 moves the king could kill the pawn

  8. A or H pawns are draws because you can’t “flank” the other king

  9. Why is the black king not cheking the white king

  10. I dont understand why the black king would just keep moving backwards staying a whole row away. This scenario only works when its 1 pawn against a king

  11. Honestly I love the energy in this video I don’t even know why it’s so chill anyway I subscribed thanks for the tip

  12. but isn't this already a tie, the black has no pieces left, yet the white still has one? and there's no way that the black could ever defend its vulnerable self?

  13. Why a/h is a draw: You can push the enemy king back to the 8th row, but you can't protect your pawn while also preventing stalemate if the king is in the corner.

  14. Why King and pawn side-by-side is a draw: Black king moves 3 squares away in opposition to the White king, or moves in front of the pawn if allowed. You can only force the Black king back by putting it in check with the pawn (Black king moves in front of the pawn, White king has to go behind the pawn, Black is forced back). This is all fine and dandy until you reach the 8th row, but now the Black King can't be forced back. When you check with the pawn on the 7th row and Black moves in front of it, White has to move behind the pawn to protect it, which results in stalemate. If White goes to any other square, Black takes the pawn.

  15. This Levy guy is actually teaching me so much. It isn’t too much at once. Concepts I fully understand and can replicate.
