Clarification:stalemate is when a player has no legal moves to play, and it is now a draw
I hate stalemates, I had an opponent where I took everyone of his pieces aside from his queen. Then him being the coward that he is, backs into a corner and stalemates me instead of just accepting defeat like a man
After white move it technically black to move so when we block all way to move but it black turn so he have to move so when king move white play then it die so why
this dude was winning by a mile his bishops trapped me in every aspect and was promoting pawns but he was promoting to bishop only 💀 and he ended up stalemateing 😂

yesterday i played chess against my sister and i actually dominated her. i was about to win but stalemate messed that up
Excellent tutorial!! Thank you!😇
En Passant is the most confusing imo; does anyone have a simple explanation?
wow tysm i was so confuse when they said stalemate

Me trying to be better:at the end with 2 queens I’m smiling cause I think I’m going to win But STALEMATE IS SO FRUSTRATING
I FOUGHT FOR 10 MIN WITH MY ENTIRE BRAIN AND AT LAST I HAD TWO QUEENS AND THEY ONLY HAD KING AND THIS FUCKING STALEMATE DRAWED THE FUCKING GAME 😭😭😭😭😭
Meanwhile my friends when they are losing:*Counting till 15/16 to call it a draw*
Literal skill issue
"We have you surrounded and are ready to kill you whenever you move!"
"Ok we'll call it a draw"
Once I tricked me opponent to doing stalemate by sacrificing my bishop and he took it with the one piece that wouldn't deliver mate by taking it
Stalemate always happens at the end of a game
By definition stalemate always happens at the end of the game. I think what you mean is that it often happens during the endgame phase.
not stalemate if u can move a pawn.
I suck at chess so that’s kind of the only way I don’t lose(It’s not a win but better than a loss in my opinion)
If the white queen did not move to c6 and instead move to b7 it's a checkmate
“We have you surrounded, and ready to take your head clean off your shoulders once you move an inch.”
“draw?”
“yeah let’s call it a draw”
I am starting to play chess and i literally got a Stalemate both of us had half of the pieces lost
Always make sure your opponent has at least one legal move.
Sir you are surrounded from all sides, any movement and we'll capture you
"Ok I guess we'll call it a draw"
Stalemate needs to be removed it is the most illogical and useless feature of chess
This helped me a lot! I always draw matches and im always confused how i didnt win? This helped a lot.
This is why I never play chess
En passant left the chat
one time i had a pond and king i moved the pond forward so it cant go anywhere so it became stale mate all i killed was 2 pawn😅
And it usually happens by accident.
Eric Rosen: oh yeah?
On the board or off? 🤔
You have no idea how many times I've stalemated with 3 Queens 💀
i remember trying to get an army of queens to elimate the enemy but guess what? yes i got stalemate…
Tip: If you wanna win endgame, if your patient and good enough try and get a time out
isnt it still checkmate because if the king moves anywhere, he's dead?
my friend called it checkmate
I quit chess because of it
I had e queens n bishop still got stalemate….with negative rating…fucking unbelievable
Genuine question, when has a stalemate ever happened at the beginning of the game?!😂
I always get stalemated by my mom but she never agrees with stalemate . (btw my mom's a pro)
After white move it technically black to move so when we block all way to move but it black turn so he have to move so when king move white play then it die so why

"we got you surrounded and we killed your all of your men you have no we're to go"
"So we call it a draw"
"Ok"
i always stalemate whenever i lose hope lol
Me: yay I got my queen it's time to checkmate the king
Game:no you can't do that I will not let you win.
Me: EMOTIONAL DAMAGE
This is only happens when your having too much fun while disrespecting your opponent by erasing all their pieces
Finally understood what a stalemate is.
How is a stalemate confusing
In Chinese chess, a stalemate is a loss for the stalemated player.
I would say En Passant is still more frustrating 😂
Stalemate is kinda greater win than regular win
i hate stalemate
OH, So if king place is not in danger, its stalrmate???? Anyone can say yes
